GEO File Format

A GEO file is a simple text file used to override the georeferencing information of the input images.

  • The file must be named geo.txt.
  • The first line should contain the coordinate reference system (CRS) used for the geographical coordinates, for example EPSG:32616. See Coordinate Reference Systems.
  • Subsequent lines are the image filename, x, y, z world coordinates, yaw, pitch, roll camera angles (degrees) and horizontal/vertical accuracy (h_accuracy, v_accuracy in meters), separated by tabs or spaces.

Camera angles are currently only used for radiometric calibration.

[CRS]
[image filename] [x] [y] [z (optional)] [yaw (optional)] [pitch (optional)] [roll (optional)] [h_accuracy (optional)] [v_accuracy (optional)]
...
note
  • The image filename is case-sensitive. IMG_0001.jpg is not the same as IMG_0001.JPG.
  • The filename cannot contain spaces.
